MINIATURIZED RADIO EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE: To provide the miniaturized radio equipment which can be resonated an respective plural frequencies using a matching circuit and equipped with the antenna having satisfactory radiation characteristics. CONSTITUTION: Transmitters/receivers 5 and 6 and matching circuits 3 and 4 of each frequency are provided inside a cabinet 11. An antenna housing cover 10 can be freely put out/put into the cabinet 11 and slender antenna elements 1 and 2 to be operated at different frequencies f1 and f2 respectively are housed in the cabinet 11. The respective antenna elements 1 and 2 are connected to the correspondent matching circuits. All the antenna elements 1 and 2 are simultaneously put out/put into the cabinet 11 together with the antenna housing cover 10 and pulled out of the cabinet at the time of transmission/reception and housed in the cabinet at the time of reception of waiting for a call. At the time of communication with one frequency f1 , only the antenna element 1 corresponding to f1 is preferably connected to the matching circuit 3 and the antenna element 2 corresponding to the other frequency f2 is electrically disconnected from the correspondent matching circuit 4 by a switch 9.
