<p>PURPOSE: To provide a golf ball showing a long flying distance and excellent feeling for hitting and controlling property. CONSTITUTION: The golf ball consists of a core 1 and a cover 2 which covers the core 1. The base material of the cover 2 consists of a mixture of a sulfonate ionomer and a carboxylate ionomer. The sulfonate ionomer has such a structure that a part or whole of the polymer chain skeleton consists of an elastomer component having rubber elasticity and sulfonate groups neutralized with metal ion are added to the polymer chain skeleton. The carboxylate ionomer consists of a copolymer essentially comprising at leastα-olefin andα-β-unsatd. carboxylic acid with the carboxyl groups neutralized with metal ion.</p> |
