<p>An interface section (103) controls a communication interface between an in-circuit emulator (110) and a host computer (101). A CPU core board (120) for emulating a CPU core section of the computer (101) has therein a special function register illegal access detector (130) which stores device file data in a RAM (131) under control of a RAM I/O (132), bofore a data analyser (133) employs the data to generate a signal of a decision on an illegalness of an access, which signal is output to the computer (101).
