The method provides digital analysis of a signal (5) consisting of N modulated carriers (S1, S2, ...), each carrier having a given frequency (F1, F2,...). Each carrier may be modulated by a first component (X1, X2, ...) in phase with the corresponding un-modulated carrier and a second component (Y1, Y2, ...) in phase quadrature with the un-modulated carrier. Analysis consists of determining the components (X1, Y1; X2, Y2, ...) for each carrier. The signal (S) is sampled at frequency higher than the range of frequencies (F1, F2, ...), taking 2N successive samples. From these one obtain 2N equations with 2N unknowns. The equations are then solved simultaneously and digitally in order to determine the unknown components.
