The columns (4) each have a lower end part (42) which is pointed, enabling it to be driven into the ground. The column in the transition between its upper end part (41) and its lower end part is provided with an L-shaped fitting (43), whose one arm (44) is directed at right-angles to the column and whose other arm is parallel with the longitudinal direction of the column. The other arm extends from the first arm towards the pointed end of the lower column end part. The other fitting arm (45) has a threaded hole (46) which is directed radially to the column. A clamp screw (47) is screwed into the hole so that the column by the fitting can be fitted to the upper edge of a balcony barrier. The balcony barrier incorporates a corrugated plate with vertically orientated corrugated grooves. The column lower end is so dimensioned that it can be stably placed in a groove in the plate when the column is fitted on the balcony barrier. |
