PURPOSE:To enable a host device to accept commodity order data from a terminal for order input without resending commodity shortage data, and also inform the operator of a terminal, which needs to resend data, that the resending is needed. CONSTITUTION:The host device 2 is provided with a storage part for an addition flag which is set when a new commodity that is not in stock is specified during the transmission of commodity shortage data to a terminal 1 for order data terminal 1 where a request to send commodity order data is made. It is discriminated whether or not the addition flag is set in response to the completion of the reception of the commodity order data sent from the terminal 1 for order data input. When it is confirmed that the flat is set, the terminal 1 for order data input 1 is informed by a radio communication that the untransmitted commodity shortage data are present. Each order data input terminal 1 once informed of the shortage reports the presence of the untransmitted commodity shortage data by displaying a message, etc. |
