Surround insert for door frames esp. for house doors

The surround frame (2) cladding (8) rests at one end of the rebate of the door frame (6.1) so as to cover part of the frame (6). The end of the cladding furthest from the rebate serves as surround frame rebate (13) which so covers the surround frame that the cladding projects beyond the building wall (5). The cladding projects beyond the door frame towards the door opening (11) and forms a separate item held to the frame eg. by a tongue and groove join (7), and the surround frame is fixed to the wall by inclined screws whose tips point away from the cladding.
