The brush holder sets (31,33; 32,34) are made from moulded plastic, and formed on a central cylinder (39) and two sectors (20,21). The inner cylinder section (37) is hollow forming a collector and the motor shaft (38) passes through the centre. Each holder is mounted at 20 degrees to the tangent to the collector, and each holder set has a holder separation of 180 degrees. One of each holder set is mounted so that its centre lies along the motor neutral line.
