The cleaning device has a part for removing masticated paste, e.g. chewing gum, adhering to the ground, or floor surface, firstly by removing the major top layer (1). The container surface encloses a rotary cutter or scraper (16). The container above the tool may include a suction tube (36), for debris evacuation. The second section (50) casing (52) may also have a planar annular end, in contact with the ground. This may contain a rotating brush (58), with a suction tube (62), recovering debris and a tube (64), supplying steam to the brush and deposit. The tubes may be supported on rollers.
