<p>PURPOSE:To enable carrying out rapid operation of a large amount of cells, by electrically treating the cells while continuously or intermittently making the cells flow in a chamber. CONSTITUTION:In a flow chamber, two sheets of flat plate electrodes 11 and 12 sandwiching a spacer 13 are attached under pressure to the flat plate spacer 13 from which part corresponding to a space 16 to be used for cell fusion or nucleic acid transduction is cut off, by a contact bonding means 14 in such a way that the spacer and the electrodes are readily assembled and diassembled, and a feeding means 18 to supply cells to the space 16 of the spacer 13 and a discharging means 18' to pull out the cells in the space 16 are set. AC voltage from an oscillator capable of controlling voltage and frequency and/or DC pulse voltage from a pulse oscillator capable of controlling pulse voltage, pulse width and number of pulses are/is impressed to the electrodes 11 and 12 to cause cell fusion or nucleic acid transduction while continuously or intermittently making the cells flow in the flow chamber. Consequently a large amount of the cells can be rapidly operated.</p> |
