The gambling machine control procedure involves a central control unit, equipment (2) to receive and process payment, and display units (3) to indicate the stake and type of game. Further randomly-controlled displays (4) indicate game results, and at least one ladder-type risk game (5) is included. The player influences the game by using control buttons (7). The stake required for a complete game is deducted from the stored stake at the beginning of a game and divided between a pair of displays (8,9) allocated to the first and second player, or the machine itself, respectively. Two results are produced by the central control unit, compared, and the winnings passed on to a second pair of stores with associated displays (10,11).
