PURPOSE:To prevent the collision of a grindstone head and work head and that of a work head and sensor, by providing a moving means having a sensor at the tip and movable in the work direction at the driving part moving a grindstone in the work direction. CONSTITUTION:At the measuring time of the outer diameter of a work 1 a sensor 10 is located in the direction connecting a work shaft and grindstone shaft by a moving means 11, the tip of the sensor 10 is located at the outside from the outer periphery of a grindstone 7 and the outer diameter of the work 1 is measured while abutting the sensor 10 on the work 1 by a driving means 14. Then, during the work 1 working by the grindstone 7 the sensor 10 is evaded in the direction receiving from the work 1. |
