PURPOSE:To provide a display controller for quickening cursor movement onto document data. CONSTITUTION:When the insertion position of an illustration is appropriate as the result of the discrimination of a step A3, after a flag is set to the pertinent row of a document management buffer (the step A4), a symbol is displayed on a display screen (the step A5). That is, picture data for constituting the illustration are in the size of 4 rows X 4 columns, however, the illustration based on the picture data is not displayed on the display screen and only the symbol in the size of 1 row X 1 column is displayed. As a result, at the time of moving a cursor on the display screen, useless cursor movement on uneditable picture data is eliminated and the cursor movement to the document data is quickly performed. |
