The system includes a first assembly with several sectors (S1-S4) positioned around a node (N). Each sector is made up of a central sector (C1-C4) with two outer transition zones (AR1,AV1) positioned at the side edge of each sector. A control station is located at the node and can detect when a unit which is being communicated with has entered the transition zone. A dynamic list is compiled of the resources available and the communications to be made. Resources are assigned to the central sector then to the transition zones.
