<p>PURPOSE: To prevent the collision of medium access and packet loss due to the interference of another communication network using the same frequency band. CONSTITUTION: When an origin of transmission communicating station 30 in a radio local area network 14 transmits a packet to another communicating station in the radio local area network 14, a destination communicating station must respond with an ACK signal. When the ACK signal is not received by the origin of transmission communicating station, the packet is re-transmitted. An access point 22 receives the transmitted packet, and when the access point 22 does not detect the ACK signal on a radio channel, the access point 22 itself generates the ACK signal, and transmits the packet on the radio local area network 14 according to the designation address of the packet, or transmits the packet to a wire local area network 12.</p> |
