A peristaltic pump device including an insert (10) and a drive assembly (30). The insert essentially includes a wall (16) and a flexible tube (22). The drive assembly includes a drive shaft (38) and a plate (50) rotatably supporting members (54, 64) for guiding rollers (48) engaging the tube (22). When the shaft (38) is inserted, the rollers (48) are urged outwards so that the tube (22) is squeezed between said rollers and the wall (16) of the insert.
