PURPOSE:To write data of pixels fast through a small number of signal lines and improve the performance by performing a reading, a comparing, and a writing process, etc., for pixels at an image memory side. CONSTITUTION:A high function image memory 100 is equipped with a luminance blending part 104 which mixes luminance information on pixels and a blending coefficient that are already stored in a memory cell 101 according to luminance information and a blending coefficient that are given, and plural comparing circuits 105 for hidden plane erasure and WID comparison which determine whether or not writing is performed by comparing depth information and window information that are already stored with given depth information and window information. In this high-function image memory LSI 100, window information held in the memory cell 101 corresponding to a pixel to be written is read out and compared with window information on a pixel to be written, and it is decided whether or not the pixel is written in the memory cell 101 based on the comparison result. Similarly, the depth information is also compared to determine whether or not wirting should be done, thereby performing hidden-surface processing. |
