Process and assembly to direct ionised jet flow at electrode-sensor

A process and assembly measures the ion concentration in esp. small samples of fluid by means of ion-sensitive/selective electrodes. The medium (sample) is sprayed through a jet (4) at the ion-sensitive/selective electrode (2, 2', 3,3') as a gas or aerosol flow. The flow is so adjusted that only a thin film of the sample substance is formed upon the electrode. Liquid (100) forming within the measurement cell (1) is drained through an outlet (40) while air is released through a vent (50).
