STABILIZER FOR PRODUCING A CARBON FIBER AND THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS UTILIZING THE STABILIZER

The high intense carbon fiber is produced by adding 3 wt.% of an itaconic acid to an acrylonitrile monomer, copolymerizing the mixture in the dimethyl sulfoxide solution at 50-60 deg. C for 4-5hr to obtain a copolymer, dry-wet spinning and multi-stage drawing the copolymer to obtain a precursor fiber, flame-proof treating the precursor fiber by the flame-proofing oppts. in the oxidative atmosphere of 200-300 deg. C for 20-40min, and carbonation treating it in the inert atmosphere of 1200-1400 deg. C for 5min. The carbon fiber has a good tensile strength and elasticity.
