The invention relates to a wind deflector (2) to be secured to a main windscreen wiper arm with apertures in its back, in which said deflector is secured to first screwed securing sections (10) and also second securing sections (11) engaging in the front side-wall, in relation to the direction of travel, of the main arm. The second securing sections (11) take the form of two slightly spaced opposite surfaces joined together at the upper edge, one of which has an engagement projection at the lower edge which can engage beneath the lower edge of the side-wall of the main arm. In order to increase the solidity or stability of the second securing sections (11) or the connection between the deflector (2) and the wiper blade, one of the two walls of the securing sections (11) is wider than the other, at least at its lower edge and bears an engagement projection in the laterally projecting region.
