<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a fatal situation, e.g. deadlock of an automatic trading system, by facilitating the maintenance/inspection work of a detector and the automatic trading system incorporating the detector through a relatively simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:Output characteristic curves (a) and (b) are determined for a light receiving element 16 under nonreceiving and receiving states of light. Border points Q, O between the non-saturated region and the saturated region are then determined on the curves (a), (b) and the electrical values are compared at the border points thus deciding whether the light receiving element has been deteriorated or not.</p> |
