PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of an abnormal sound caused by the contact of a developing roller with a developing blade. CONSTITUTION:This developing device is provided with a freely rotatable developing roller 4 supplying toner 6 to a photoreceptor 2 and the developing blade 10 brought into contact with the developing roller 4 with prescribed pressure in a toner container 1 and a vibration preventing member 17 stuck to the rear surface on the side opposite to the developing roller of the developing blade 10 and pressed and the oscillation frequency of the developing blade 10 is changed by the vibration preventing member 17, to make the difference between the oscillation frequency of the developing blade 10 and the frequency of resistance applied from the toner 6 larger, so that a resonance frequency is prevented and the abnormal sound is suppressed. |
