METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING COLOR VIDEO SIGNAL AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To transmit a color video signal artificially in real time through a narrow-band transmission line such as a telephone line. CONSTITUTION:A synchronizing separation means 12 separates and extracts a vertical synchronizing signal and a horizontal synchronizing signal from the color video signal and divides the frequency of the vertical synchronizing signal by a previously set number which is an odd multiple of 2. A line selector means 18 outputs a line selector signal with one-horizontal-cycle width in a horizontal period which is decreased in order by one sequentially in vertical period cycles whose number is the odd multiple of 2 from the frequency-divided and outputted signal and horizontal synchronizing signal. An A/D converting means 14 converts the color video signal into digital data by the output of the line selector signal and writes the data in a memory means 26. The digital data are read out of the memory means 26 except in the vertical periods including the horizontal period wherein the data are written, and converted by a D/A converting means 34 into analog data, which are transmitted.
