An improved method for applying permanent wave neutralizer solution. In particular, the neutralizer solution is applied with an air brush held in intimate contact with the hair, preferably at a pressure of 40 psi. The improvement allows for greater control by the stylist, and requires less neutralizer solution than was used with previous methods.
