To move a number of objects 5 which are stored in a room, a transport container 2 is divided up according to the division of the room 1a. The objects 5 are removed from the room 1a and are placed in the transport container 2 in the same configuration as that in which they were stored in the room 1a. The objects 5 are transported in the transport container 2 from the original location to the area of the new location and are transferred into a room 1b which is present at the new location, again in the same configuration as that in which they were stored in the room 1a. In this way, the objects can be moved efficiently and with little risk of the objects being lost or going missing. The invention also describes a container system for use in the method according to the invention, with a large number of possible divisions, as well as a carrier-rack system, a carrier rack 11 and a supporting bar for use therein. <IMAGE>
