The subject of the present invention is a steel sheet capable of being deep drawn and formed from at least two elements which are butt-welded by means of a laser beam. The edges to be welded, of the said elements, are decarburised and oxidised beforehand by means of a laser beam with oxygen influx. The subject of the present invention is also a method for manufacturing such a steel sheet.
