The separating device has a feed device with a number of tracks (8) monitored by spacing sensors (9) which are in the form of light boxes. There is a jet device (5) between the issuing device (3) and the conveyor (1). The jet device is controllable by filling level sensors (11). The conveyor may be composed of one or more parallel transporter belts. The issuing device forms a shaft leading to a feedback device. The tracks may be formed from guide sheets (7).
