PURPOSE:To always perform reliable camera-shake display regardless of a photometry mode and a focus detection mode by displaying a camera-shake amount detected when specified time elapses after starting camera-shake detection. CONSTITUTION:This invention is applied to a camera-shake correction camera provided with a CPU 2, motor driving circuits 8 and 9, a shake display unit 13, angular velocity detection circuits 21 and 22, and a correction lens 102. By half-depressing a release button, the CPU 2 starts the detection circuits 21 and 22 after performing battery check. Thereafter, photometry and focus detection processing is performed and the camera-shake amount is displayed on the display unit 13 when the specified time elapses after starting the detection circuits 21 and 22. When the specified time elapses after fully depressing the release button, a signal is transmitted to the driving circuits 8 and 9 so as to move the lens 102, and shutter opening/closing processing is performed when the specified time elapses after the movement of the lens 102. Thus, the accuracy in the camera shake display and camera-shake correction is improved. |
