The exhaust coupling consists of two tube sections (1,5) pivoted to each other on which are fixed respective flanges (2,6). The flange (2) on one tube section supports an exhaust joint (3) which has an external spherical surface which fits in a hollowed concave part (4) in the second tube section. The support part of the spherical concave surface is held against the exhaust joint by springs (7) through which pass bolt shanks (8). A nut (9) screwed on the bolt is supported on the springs. A shield (10) extending between the spring and the adjacent tube section is formed by a cowl consisting of a collar (11) located between the clamping nut and the adjacent tube section. The collar surrounds the bolt shank and a side (12) extends on the side of the spring.
