Rotatable levelling platform for laser beam surveying level

The rotatable levelling platform (7,17) for setting a laser beam surveying level (24) in an exactly horizontal position has a triangular plate (7) whose inclination w.r.t. the top plate (6) of a tripod assembly is adjustable via the set-screw (13) and is aligned to the horizontal via the spirit level (15). A support cradle (17) which carries the laser level (24) secured by the setscrew (28) is mounted in bearings to facilitate its rotation within the plate (7) normal to the surface (16) and an electric drive (not shown) to activate rotation is contained in the housing (35) arranged for IR remote control by handheld transmitter.
