PURPOSE:To stabilize a coating soln. contg. colloidal silica by contg. oxidized starch or phosphated starch in the coating soln. for backcoating layers. CONSTITUTION:The coating layer contg. (a) a water soluble high polymer compd. obtd. by copolymerization of an ethylenically unsaturated copolymerizable monomer having >=4 carbon atoms with maleic anhydride or its salt, (b) a hardener having >=2 ethylene imino groups or glycidyl ether groups in a molecule, (c) colloidal silica and (d) oxidized starch phosphated starch is provided on hydrophobic support. The settling, sepn. and flocculation of the components produced by containing of (c) in the coating soln. are prevented, and the sticking of contaminants in the treating soln. is prevented as well. The coating film prevents electrostatic charging and curling and does not cause exfoliation of the film. |
