PURPOSE:To diversely and easily adjust a kneading degree by changing the lengths of the kneading zones before and behind a gate device. CONSTITUTION:In a twin-screw kneading apparatus equipped with a housing 3 having a kneading chamber 2 for a material to be kneaded formed therein, the rotor 4 inserted in the kneading chamber 2 in a freely rotatable manner and the gate device 7 regulating the flow rate of the material to be kneaded flowing through the kneading chamber 2, housing parts 13 communicating with the kneading chamber 2 from the outer side surface of the housing 3 and having a cross-sectional shape sufficient to surround the kneading chamber 2 are formed at a plurality of the positions in the longitudinal direction of the housing 3. The gate device 7 is received in either one of the housing parts 13 and a plug body 12 having a passing hole 14 whose cross-sectional shape is same to that of the kneading chamber 2 is received in the other housing part 13. |
