PURPOSE:To obtain an ink jet device well ejecting an ink droplet, high in yield and excellent in mass productivity by making the groove corresponding to a jet channel longer than the groove corresponding to a non-jet channel. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of parallel grooves 15 having the same depth are formed to the almost whole area of a piezoelectric ceramics plate 2 so as to become shallow parallel grooves 18 in the vicinity of an end surface 17. In grooves 15b, 15d forming ink liquid chambers as jet channels filled with ink, the boundary position of shallow grooves 18b, 18d is made closer to the end surface 17 as compared with the boundary positions of grooves 15a, 15c, 15e forming air chambers as non-jet channels not filled with ink and shallow grooves 18a, 18c, 18e. Further, a manifold 22 having an ink introducing port 21 and positioned on the grooves 15b, 15d on the rear surface side thereof so as to cross the grooves 15b, 15d is formed to a cover plate 3. By this constitution, the deformation of side walls for ejecting ink droplets from ink chambers exerts no effect on other ink chambers. |
