PURPOSE:To allow the user to hear a desired sound in an excellent way by controlling the directivity of a microphone. CONSTITUTION:Plural output signals from an omnidirectinal microphone group 4 are delayed respectively by a delay section 5 and the delayed signals are added by an adder 82. When a switch 30 is depressed, a CPU 90 gives an instruction to a delay control section 80, which reads a delay time coefficient representing a specific directivity pattern from a coefficient storage section 81 to control a delay time of the delay section 5. A timer 12 transmits a time interval for switching the directivity pattern of microphones to the CPU 90. When the witch 30 is detouched, the CPU 90 allows the delay control section 80 to keep the present state and the directivity of the microphones is fixed. Thus, a sound desired by the user is freely selected at any time and the sound input device offering ease of hearing with high articulation is obtained. |
