A transport container transports a radiation shield member and is light and capable of preventing a radiation shield member from popping out from the transport container by accident, and has a favorable operability, and is capable of easily separating a reusable portion and a portion other than the reusable portion. The transport container (1) includes a cup-shaped sheath container (2); a radiation shield container (9) accommodated in the sheath container and having concaves (11), formed thereon, engaging wing-shaped holding members (102) of the radiation shield member (100); a holding frame (12), mounted on the sheath container, for preventing the radiation shield container and the radiation shield member from being removed from the transport container; and a cover (3) for closing the opening end of the sheath container. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
