The character picture of the object area to be processed is extracted by a data extracting part 340, and the contour of the character picture is extracted by a contour extracting part 3501, and whether it is a straignt line or a curved line is judged by a straight line.curved line approximating part 3502 from the angle and the length of a continuous contour line, and by approximating contour data, it is shaped and worked so that the straight line becomes sharp and the curved line becomes smooth. A picture formation processing part 360 writes the approximated contour data in the memory unit 330, and simultaneously, it forms an output picture on the memory unit 330 by painting out the inside of the contour data. |
