The door closure operating device (10) has a handgrip (11) coupled to the door closure (2) incorporated in the edge of the appliance door, via a release lever (15). The handgrip is pivoted to the decor frame (6) of the appliance door, the release lever pivoted to the door closure. Pref. the handgrip has a lever (13) which cooperates with a bearing surface (16) of the release lever when the door closure is released. Pref. the release lever has a notch (17) receiving an operating lever of the door closure.
