PURPOSE: To permit processing of short material pieces by forming a stacker of roller tracks pivotally fixed to parallel guide mechanism, and revolving the roller tracks relative to each other by the parallel guide mechanism so as to be alternately movable between a lower position and an upper position. CONSTITUTION: Inside an aisle 4 between storage racks, barstock 3 is placed on roller tracks 9, 10 by movable load beams 6 and fork arms 7, 8. One roller track 9 is moved down from up, and the other roller track 10 is moved up from down by the operation of pairs of parallel guide levers 14, 15 by cylinder piston devices 21 to transfer the barstock 3 between the roller tracks 9, 10. Since the rollers of the roller tracks 9, 10 are driven rotatably in both directions through roller track driving devices 26, 27 and chains, the roller track 9 moved down from up supplies the barstock 3 to a machining apparatus for machining, and the roller track 10 reaching an upper position delivers the returned stock 3 and receives stock 3 to be machined next.
