PURPOSE:To provide a bumper rubber where the initial reaction is high, and the stable reaction characteristic can be obtained when a trunk lid is closed. CONSTITUTION:A bumper rubber 10 is mounted on a vehicle body panel 8 through a locking part 12a. The bumper rubber 10 consists of a rubber member 11 which is integrated in an approximately trapezoidal hollow shape by a lower part 12 where a locking part 12a of inverse truncated comical shape is integrated in a projecting manner, an upper part 13 which is located parallel above this lower part 12 by the specified distance, and side wall parts 14, 14 which extend so as to be inclined from both ends of this upper part 13 to both ends of the lower part 1 in an integrated manner. When the bumper rubber is pressed by a trunk lid 9, a projection 16 of the upper part 13 is abutted on the respective projecting parts 15, 15 of the respective side wall parts 14, 14 to increase the initial reaction, and to surely bend the respective side wall parts 14, 14 outside to obtain high reaction characteristic when the trunk lid 9 is closed. |
