<p>PURPOSE:To always excellently start a tape and to prevent irregularities in a slow reproduced image regardless of a stop position by controlling the control characteristic of a capstan motor or maximum impressed voltage thereon at the time of starting the tape based on stop position information obtained from a tracking signal at the time of stopping the tape. CONSTITUTION:A signal recorded on the tape 1 is reproduced by a head 5, and a tracking error signal is outputted from a differential amplifier 37. The tracking error signal at the time of stopping becomes stop position information of three stages in accordance with a level in a capstan starting circuit 42. The circuit 42 starts a capstan motor 9 at such capstan control voltage that impressed voltage at the time of starting is maximum voltage when the stop position information shows the front of a target stop position, it is 70% of the maximum voltage when the information shows the target stop position, and it is 40% of the maximum voltage when it shows the back of the target stop position. Thus, the tape is started in the same timing regardless of the stop position.</p> |
