<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of fog by electrifying a photoreceptor by means of a pre-electrifier before electrifying it by means of a magnetic brush. CONSTITUTION:A developing device 16 is arranged in the vicinity of the photoreceptor 12, and the pre-electrifier 28 is provided in contact with the surface of the photoreceptor 12, upstream in the developing device 16. A development bias voltage is applied to a developing sleeve 22, and an electrification voltage is applied to the pre-electrifier 28. After the photoreceptor 12 is electrified by the pre-electrifier 28, the magnetic brush 34 composed of developer in which insulated toner and semiconductive, magnetic carrier are mixed comes into contact with the surface of the photoreceptor 12, thereby re-electrifying the photoreceptor 12 by the development bias voltage via the semiconductive, magnetic carrier.</p> |
