<p>Method for making a flexible, fluid-tight sheet comprised of a complex coated on both faces with a coating layer based on a propylen-containing composition. According to the invention, the textile support is comprised of a structure whose threads are arranged with respect to each other so as to form interstices appropriate to the penetration of the coating composition inside said support; the textile support/film association is achieved when the film is still at a high temperature, said association being obtained by means of a calender comprising a smooth steal roll which has received a surface treatment and a rubberized counter-roll, the textile backing being in contact with the surface of the rubberized roll and the film being in contact with the surface of the steel roll, the pressure exerted by the rolls of the calender against the surface of the film and of the textile backing being such that it makes the material forming the film penetrate inside the structure of said textile backing; after forming a first coating layer on one side, a second layer is applied to the other side in a similar way, the first coated surface having been preheated, yet without being softened.</p> |
