摘要 The invention relates to a switching mechanism for electrical protective switching devices having a contact lever which has an outwardly domed bearing element which rests, in a switched-on position, subject to the force of a switching spring, against a bearing surface of a prestressed constraining element which can be pressed out of its position by means of a release lever and achieves the object of improving the response sensitivity of such a switching mechanism. The solution comprises the movement path of the bearing element (7) in the switched-on position and the movement path of the constraining element (16) or its tangent running at an acute angle with respect to one another, the contact lever (5) being arranged on a fixed-position shaft (A) such that it can rotate and being capable of being pivoted by an operating mechanism, subject to the stress of the switching spring (6), into a predetermined position and, in that position, being capable of being unlatched therefrom (unlatched position) and pivoted by means of the switching spring (6) into the switched-on position, it being possible for the bearing element (7) to push the constraining element (16) into the unlatched position, during pivoting of the contact lever (5), from its position governed by the prestressing into the switched-on position (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
