PURPOSE:To reduce the number of keys, and to provide the telephone set which is small in size and satisfactory in operability by executing an operation for selecting a mode, which is executed by a separate key operation up to the present, by interlocking it with an antenna drawing-out/containing operation. CONSTITUTION:In a position in which a plate-like sleeve antenna 7 is contained entirely, the antenna 7 becomes a restrained state, a permanent magnet 12 faces it and a first reed switch 17 becomes a turn-on state. When the antenna 7 is drawn out and set to a detained state in an intermediate drawn-out position, a second reed switch 18 becomes a turn-on state. When the antenna 7 is further drawn out and retained to a state that it is drawn out entirely, a third reed switch 19 becomes a turn-on state. That is, when the reed switch 17 is in a turn-on state, when the reed switch 18 is in a turn-on state, and when the reed switch 19 is in a turn-on state, a power source mode for setting a main body power source to a turn-off state, an incoming waiting mode for receiving only an incoming, and a speakable mode to which a communication channel is connected are selected, respectively. |
