The digital data remote backup device comprises means for reading digital data (11) in the mass storage, means for recognizing files (12) which have been altered since the previous backup operation, data encryption means (15), encrypted data compressing means (31) and local means (16) for transmitting data encrypted and compressed on an integrated services digital network (1). The device comprises, connected to said network, means for processing transmitted data (30) associated with global mass storage (26, 27) backing up the transmitted data, and automatic dial-up means (35). The data processing means controls the operation of the automatic dial-up means, the electronic circuit and global mass storage (262, 27). |
