PURPOSE:To provide a method and device for processing an image capable of rapidly correcting a null dot between polygons in a television picture without needlessly deforming the shape of the polygon. CONSTITUTION:Three latches 10, 12, 14 are provided, and a pattern detection correction circuit 30 is inserted between the latch 12 and the latch 14. The dot data are inputted from the latch 10, and are shifted to the right side successively synchronizing with a clock. By the pattern detection correction circuit 30, an existence pattern of the image data for four dots continuing along a scanning line is detected from the fill data among the dot data D1, D2, D3, D4, and the inputted dot data D3 is corrected, if necessary, to be outputted to the latch 14 as the dot data D3'. |
