PURPOSE: To provide a lithium secondary battery having a rechargeable specific carbon fiber as a negative electrode. CONSTITUTION: A negative electrode sheet 1 is formed by using a carbon fibril material, consisting of an aggregate of 0.1 to 100 micrometers in average particle size in which fine thread-like carbon fibrils of 3.5 to 75 nm in diameter are tangled with each other. Thereby, the reaction with a negative electrode and a solvent and lowering of a charge and discharge cycle service life due to dendrite generation, and a lithium battery with its superior self discharge characteristic is provided. |
