Front toe-piece of a ski binding

The invention relates to a front toe-piece of a ski binding with a support member bearing two side toe-pieces which forms the coupler of a four-bar mechanism. The side toe-pieces are held immovably in the rest state in relation to the support member. After a given pivoting out of the support member, however, the side toe-piece lying at the front in the direction of movement pivots out to release the boot sole. Arranged between the side toe-pieces on the support member is a lever which supports the side toe-pieces mutually detachably. This lever releases the respective side toe-piece at the end of the pivoting-out movement of the support member. Additionally, there is formed on the lever a nose which interacts with a resilient element in such a manner that it ensures a centering of the rocker-like lever when the latter is restored.
