An endoscopic applicator (1) for surgical instrument heads (2), especially of clip suture instruments for anastomoses, is provided with an insertion tube (4). The end (3) of this insertion tube to be inserted in the interior of the body is provided with a locking mechanism (annular groove 11, spring arm 14) for the releasable mounting of the instrument head (2). The locking engagement of this locking mechanism (annular groove 11, spring arm 14) can be released via a releasing mechanism (gripping ring 8) which can be operated from the end (5) outside the body. <IMAGE>
