<p>PURPOSE:To produce the title compsn. which has a high softening point, is excellent in solubility in a nonarom. solvent. and enables the improvement in gloss and prevention of misting of a printing ink. CONSTITUTION:The title compsn. comprises 100 pts.wt. high-softening-point copolymer resin obtd. by polymerizing 50-95wt.% petroleum cracking fraction mainly comprising 9C arom. vinyl hydrocarbons and 5-50wt.% dicyclopentadiene fraction in the presence of a Friedel-Crafts catalyst and 3-30 pts.wt. low- softening-point aliph. petroleum resin obtd. by polymerizing a petroleum cracking fraction mainly comprising 5C olefins and diolefins in the presence of a Friedel- Crafts catalyst and has a softening point higher than that of the low-softening- point resin.</p> |
